Meta-aramid has excellent flame retardant properties and can be used under the hood to include flexible high temperature hoses such as hoses that supply hot air to the intake manifold and turbocharger hoses. Inside the car, the meta-aramid prevents the engine compartment from overheating, the radiator hose bursts, and the windshield wiper fails even in hot weather conditions.
