PRODUCT DESCRIPTION


Tanchain provides 12K carbon fiber filaments in four strengths: T400, T500, T700, and T800. T400 and T500 are carbon fiber filaments of ordinary strength, while T700 and T800 are high-strength carbon fiber filaments. There are many differences between 12k T700 grade carbon fiber and 12K ordinary strength carbon fiber:


Strength


- 12k T700 grade carbon fiber: The tensile strength can reach 4.9Gpa, which can withstand large tensile forces and meet the application requirements of aerospace, military and other fields with extremely high material strength requirements.

- 12K ordinary strength carbon fiber: The tensile strength is generally below 4-4.9Gpa. For example, the common 12K ordinary carbon fiber unidirectional cloth used for building reinforcement actually has a tensile strength of about 3000MPa after being woven into a unidirectional cloth, which is lower than T700 grade carbon fiber and cannot be used in scenes with extremely high strength requirements. The unidirectional cloth for building reinforcement woven with T700 carbon fiber filament actually has a tensile strength of about 3400MPa after being woven into a unidirectional cloth, which is higher than ordinary grade carbon fiber.


Modulus


- 12k T700 grade carbon fiber: has a higher modulus, less deformation when subjected to force, can better maintain shape and dimensional stability, and is of great significance for the manufacture of high-precision and high-stability structural parts.


- 12K ordinary strength carbon fiber: has a relatively low modulus, is prone to large deformation when subjected to force, and is not suitable for occasions with high requirements for shape and dimensional stability.


Production process


- 12k T700 grade carbon fiber: the production process is more rigorous and complex, and requires precise control of parameters such as raw material purity, polymerization reaction conditions, pre-oxidation and carbonization temperature to ensure high strength and high performance of the fiber.


- 12K ordinary strength carbon fiber: the production process is relatively simple, with low requirements for the control accuracy of process parameters, and a wide range of raw material selection and production conditions.


Application field


- 12k T700 grade carbon fiber: mainly used in aerospace, national defense and military, high-end sports equipment, new energy vehicles and other fields, such as manufacturing aircraft wings, missile shells, high-end bicycle frames, etc.


- 12K ordinary strength carbon fiber: commonly used in civil building reinforcement, ordinary industrial parts manufacturing, general sports goods and other fields that do not require particularly high strength, such as reinforcing concrete structures, manufacturing ordinary mechanical parts, producing low-end rackets, etc.


Product price


- 12k T700 grade carbon fiber: due to complex production process, excellent performance, and high-end application fields, the price is relatively high. Its price is generally above 17USD.

- 12K ordinary strength carbon fiber: simple production process, low cost, relatively cheap price, the base price is usually around 12USD.
