Product Description

20S3 yarn blended with 50% pre-oxidized fiber, 25% para-aramid and 25% meta-aramid has the following advantages:


1. Excellent flame retardant performance: the pre-oxidized fiber has a limiting oxygen index greater than 45%, and does not melt, soften or shrink, or drop when burned; the limiting oxygen index of meta-aramid is greater than 28, and the limiting oxygen index of para-aramid is about 30%. The yarn blended with the three has excellent flame retardant performance and can be used to manufacture products with high fire protection requirements, such as firefighting suits, fireproof gloves, etc.


2. High strength and wear resistance: para-aramid has high strength and breaking strength It is 5 times that of steel wire and twice that of nylon, polyester fiber and glass fiber; the breaking strength of meta-aramid is higher than that of ordinary polyester, cotton, nylon, etc. Blending can improve the strength and wear resistance of the yarn, making it more durable, and can be used to make protective equipment that requires wear resistance.

3. Good thermal stability: Both pre-oxidized fiber and para-aramid have good thermal stability. Pre-oxidized fiber has stable performance at high temperature. After being placed in dry hot air at 180℃ for 48 hours, the strength retention rate of para-aramid is 84%, the decomposition temperature is about 560℃, and the glass transition temperature is above 300℃ , the blended yarn can maintain good performance in high temperature environment and can be used in high temperature working environment.

4. Excellent chemical stability: meta-aramid has excellent resistance to most chemical substances, can withstand most high concentrations of inorganic acids, and has good alkali resistance at room temperature. The blended yarn can maintain stable performance in a variety of chemical environments and is suitable for protective work clothes in the fields of chemical industry, petroleum, etc.

5. Good comfort: pre-oxidized fiber fabrics are light, soft, and have good water absorption. Meta-aramid is a flexible polymer with a soft feel and large elongation. The fabrics made of blended yarns are comfortable to wear without feeling stuffy, which can improve the wearing experience of protective clothing.

6. Strong spinnability: Pre-oxidized fibers have poor spinnability, but after blending with para-aramid and meta-aramid, the spinnability is improved, and the problems of difficult yarn formation, loose yarns with low strength, and high yarn breakage rate during spinning are alleviated, which improves production efficiency and yarn quality.

7. Rich color selection: Para-aramid and meta-aramid have relatively more colors. After blending with black pre-oxidized fibers, the yarn color can be richer to meet different color requirements.
