Product Description

Coarse and fine yarns differ mainly in the following aspects:

Fineness

- Coarse yarn: A lower count means the yarn is thicker. For example, yarns below 10 Ne are generally considered coarse yarns.

- Fine yarn: A higher count means the yarn is thinner. For example, yarns above 60 Ne are considered fine yarns.

Appearance and feel

- Coarse yarn: The appearance is thicker and rougher, and the texture of the fabric surface is obvious. It feels stiffer and has a stronger texture.

- Fine yarn: The appearance is delicate and smooth, and the fabric is tight and thin. It feels soft and smooth, and it feels more comfortable when it is close to the skin.

Use

- Coarse yarn: It is often used to make heavy fabrics, such as tweed, denim, thick blankets, etc. These fabrics are strong and durable, suitable for making work clothes, heavy curtains, sofa covers, etc.

- Fine yarn: mainly used to make thin and delicate fabrics, such as high-end shirt fabrics, underwear fabrics, scarves, etc., which can provide a good wearing experience.

Production process

- Coarse yarn: The requirements for raw materials are relatively less stringent, and the drafting multiple is smaller during the spinning process.

- Fine yarn: requires better quality raw materials, and the drafting multiple is larger during the spinning process, and the precision requirements for spinning equipment and technology are higher.

10S2 coarse polyacrylonitrile-based pre-oxidized fiber yarn has flame retardant, high temperature resistance and heat insulation properties, and is used to weave thicker flame retardant fabrics.
