All-vanadium flow battery
In all-vanadium flow battery, graphite felt is a commonly used electrode material. It has good conductivity, can effectively collect and conduct electrons, and provide efficient electron transmission channels for electrochemical reactions. For example, during charging, it can smoothly conduct the electrons obtained from low-valent vanadium ions in the negative electrode electrolyte to the external circuit. Its high porosity and large specific surface area can fully penetrate and contact the electrolyte, increase the reaction active sites, and improve the battery's charge and discharge efficiency and power density. In addition, graphite felt also has good chemical stability and corrosion resistance, and can work stably for a long time in the acidic electrolyte of all-vanadium flow battery.
Violetin-based aqueous organic flow battery
The N and O co-doped graphite felt fiber electrode material prepared by physical impregnation and heat treatment process can be used as the negative electrode material of viologen-based aqueous organic flow battery. This material has excellent hydrophilicity and electrochemical activity. Compared with the battery with blank graphite felt as the negative electrode, it has lower overpotential and higher battery efficiency. It can increase the electrochemical oxidation reaction rate of reduced viologen, and the corresponding battery has better capacity retention and cycle stability.
